The Jet Offense is an offense based on misdirection. Typically, a team will use the jet offense to confuse their opponents using lots of quick motion. Coaches who employ this offense often have smaller players who need the advantage of misdirection to slow down their defenders, hoping to catch them off guard from time to time. The philosophy of the jet offense is to get your best athletes in space. The goal of the formation is to spread out the defense, and make Cornerbacks make tackles in open space. The Offensive Line runs a outside zone and trap blocking scheme.
